A cross section of a solid block of paint from the old Portswood depot, at the end of each day, or after a paint job, the painters would wipe their brushes down on this piece of wood. As you can see over the years, the paint built up in layers showing the different bus colours. It’s believed the grey near the middle is from the war era. Thanks to Jon Tibbit for providing the photo.

Delivered to SCT new in December 1946 and withdrawn in March 1962 with a Gardner 6LW engine and Park Royal H56R body. It went to Colbro (Dealer) of Rothwell. The body was refurbished and the bus went to Green Bus of Rugeley in April 1963. Green Bus livery was dark and light green with cream relief. It was withdrawn, and, presumably scrapped, in September 1966.
