167 was new in November 1972 and was one of the first Leyland AN/68 batch to be delivered to Southampton. After being based at both Shirley and Portswood depot before being withdrawn 167 passed to Hampshire Technical College Trust at Winchester in February 1990. 167 was also used as the Intech Winchester bus where it had a all over add.

After many years of being in dry store, 167 was brought for continued preservation by Phil Blair in late 2013, who plans to replace the differential and repaint it into the delivered livery. Surprisingly 167 is in original and complete condition inside. It’s hoped 167 will be back on the rally seen in 2014. On Friday 3rd January 2014, 167 was moved from where it had been stored for many years to Barton Park Industrial Estate, Eastleigh so work could start on it's restoration.

In October 2014, a new chapter in 167's history began when 167 was bought by two of the younger members of S&DTHT and was moved to secure storage where work could be carried out to get it back on the road after many years.
